International peace and nuclear disarmament gathering connected to LILMOD Nuclear Prayer Day 2026

LILMOD Nuclear Prayer Day 2026 | August 6-9 Global Observance

A Gullah-Geechee Prayer for a World Without Nuclear Weapons

LILMOD Strategies is hosting a virtual Nuclear Prayer Day gathering rooted in Gullah-Geechee spiritual memory, youth leadership, public diplomacy, and the global call for nuclear peace.

At the encouragement of Steve Leeper, LILMOD Strategies is organizing this virtual gathering as part of the broader Nuclear Prayer Day observance.

A virtual gathering for prayer, memory, and nuclear peace

LILMOD Strategies is a leading Gullah-Geechee-led civic, cultural, and diplomacy organization and a representative voice from a rising generation of Gullah-Geechee public leadership.

At the encouragement of Steve Leeper, LILMOD Strategies will host a virtual Nuclear Prayer Day gathering during the August 6-9 observance remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Rooted in Gullah-Geechee spiritual memory, youth leadership, and international peace education, this event will bring together community voices, faith leaders, students, cultural workers, and people of conscience to pray, reflect, and recommit to a world free from nuclear war.

Why Gullah-Geechee Voices Matter

A representative voice from a rising generation of Gullah-Geechee public leadership.

Gullah-Geechee communities carry one of the most enduring African cultural memories in the United States. That memory includes survival, displacement, faith, land, language, spiritual endurance, and the responsibility to speak across generations.

LILMOD believes Gullah-Geechee voices belong in global conversations about peace, security, human dignity, and the future of life on earth.

Why Nuclear Prayer Day Matters

A shared call across traditions, communities, and nations.

Nuclear Prayer Day invites people across traditions, communities, and nations to pause, pray, meditate, reflect, and act in response to the threat of nuclear war.

LILMOD's gathering connects remembrance of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with youth leadership, cultural memory, public education, and civic responsibility.
